ES - E9 SUBDIVISION

ES - E9 SUBDIVISION

The E8-E9 Subdivision is the last phase of the Cordata PUD in northern Bellingham. The subdivision is a mixed density residential project consisting of 428 units over 72 acres with wetland restoration and enhancement. The project includes construction of the Cordata Parkway and Kline Road arterials. Engineering design for the subdivision has been completed for phase-l and construction is on-going.

LARRABEE SPRINGS

LARRABEE SPRINGS 

Jones Engineers, Inc. is performing master planning for this 600-acre urban village. The design includes mixed-use residential, office, retail, and recreational elements that maintain a sustainable, natural theme. In addition, the proposal includes a private transit system, as well as off-site water and sewer system extensions.

NORTHERN HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION

NORTHERN HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION 

Jones Engineers, Inc. performed full service planning and site design, engineering, permitting, and construction management for this 170 unit residential subdivision. This project included off-site sanitary sewer, water extensions, and arterial street construction.

SAMISH HIGHLANDS SUBDIVISION

SAMISH HIGHLANDS SUBDIVISION 

This project involved development of construction plans and specifications and assessment of the environmental impacts to an 80-acre tract in Whatcom County. Project components included full engineering responsibility, environmental impact statements, hearing and community interaction programs, and storm water runoff detention and treatment facilities design and construction.

The Spring Creek Assisted Living Center is a 6.3-acre 3-building complex located in Bellingham, Washington. Civil engineering included storm water drainage plan, road design, water and sanitary sewer systems, and environmental permitting. The storm water drainage plan included a 2-cell detention pond designed to provide the nearby creek with extra protection from excessive sedimentation.

NORTHERN PADDEN REGIONAL WATER STUDY

NORTHERN PADDEN REGIONAL WATER STUDY 

JEI completed the preliminary design of a regional water system to serve over 900 acres of the City of Bellingham UGA. The project involved creating conceptual land development build-out scenarios as bases for regional water supply and distribution. In developing the scenarios, various pump stations, pressure reducing stations, distribution piping, and fire suppression facilities were evaluated.

RESIDENTIAL LAND USE ANALYSIS 

JEI conducted a Residential Land Use Inventory and Analysis for determining the amount of vacant and under-utilized residential land in the Bellingham city limits and UGA. This land use analysis was utilized in the development of the City of Bellingham comprehensive plan. The completed analysis consisted of twenty-four neighborhood and sub-area reports, a project overview, and numerous supportive studies.

WOODLAKE MEADOWS & SAVANNAH PARK 

Jones Engineers was involved from the first planning steps to final completion of Woodlake Meadows & Savannah Park, a 70-acre planned unit development in Whatcom County. JEI prepared preliminary designs and the environmental review, final design plans for on-site and off-site roads and utilities, contract documents, and prepared and guided the final plats through the approval process.

CHANDLER PARKWAY

CHANDLER PARKWAY 

Jones Engineers, Inc. completed plans, specifications, contract documents and construction management for the development of a 4-mile collector arterial boulevard in Bellingham, Washington. The design project included an area wide traffic circulation study, as well as designs for water supply, fire protection, sanitary sewer and drainage for adjacent properties under multiple ownerships.

DELTA TECH INDUSTRIAL PARK

DELTA TECH INDUSTRIAL PARK 

Jones Engineers, Inc. provided civil engineering for the 42-acre 24 lot Delta Tech Industrial Park in Whatcom County, Washington. The project included an off-site improvement of 300 feet of public roadway with a fish-friendly culvert, on-site septic, storm water, and private water systems. The private water system included a 50,000 gallon above ground storage tank and pump station.

Jones Engineers, Inc. performed planning and final engineering for a 7.5 acre headquarters for Whatcom County Fire District #4. The project included analysis of utility corridors, utility and site design, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for storm water conveyance and detention, as well as contract administration and construction management.

South Hills is an 8-phase, 55-acre subdivision in Bellingham, Washington. JEI provided master planning, environmental studies, drainage, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, permitting, construction management, and final design for this 130 unit residential subdivision north of Lake Padden. This project is notable for the hydrologic modeling effort required for a series of four detention ponds.
